Boy, after 3 days of fairly intense quarterly #PIPlanning, it's really hard to shift gears and go back to coding.

I may have to knock off early today.

Alle 12 Wochen wieder kommt das PI-Planning. Es ist soweit: 2-Tage Ausnahmezustand und Spannung, inwieweit wir alle Anforderungen platziert bekommen. Am Ende werde ich wieder erschöpft sein, aber in der Regel auch sehr zufrieden, genau so zu arbeiten wie wir es tun.

Completed our first quarterly #PIPlanning session. 😰

That was a lot of work! A LONG 3 days (me: 9.5 hours in Google Meet yesterday).

But the teams feel really good about it, and feels like for first time we're looking beyond the next sprint.

A serious "uh oh" moment yesterday in our team, when we realized the hoped-for timeline was easily 2x what we could do. But we pivoted and rearranged some things to avoid blocking other teams. 🙌

Looking forward to starting the quarter!

Today is #PIPlanning. I am always amazed how well this seemingly chaotic dance ends with our teams having a plan for what to do in the coming 12 weeks.
As a product manager, I now mostly observe and advise. And yet this is always exciting and somewhat stressful to wait and see what plan arises.
Still, I know from experience that those plans have a much greater chance of becoming reality than anything I could design on my own!

It's that super busy time of year again. Rushing from meeting to meeting, my to-do list getting longer. very little time for strategic or long-term thinking. It's all snap decisions and calculations on the hoof. Stressful, but quite fun too.
