I have a question about . We've been getting all this imagery back from rovers like and and their predecessors, and they all show what looks like the same terrain - rugged rocky desert.

So I wanna know: Is the entire planet like that? Surely there are regions that must look very different - Strikingly different colours, or topology or something? Compare the red sand dunes of the Kalahari desert to, say, the buttes and mesas of Death Valley

What is a rock depends on where you are. In very cold places like it makes sense to treat ice as a kind of rock and liquid water as a form of magma.
