I bought more Oofos. Shoes this time instead of sandals. Omg, they're great, my feet are so comfortable!

I am only able to keep buying #Oofos because I've found a discounter on eBay, paying 45€ for something that's usually 120€ new!

They're a half size too big (better than the previous pair I tried and sent back for being a half size too small) but I'm keeping them because they will be good with thicker winter socks. Have just ordered the half size down in another colour.

1. Dansko's pink/orange tennis sandal reminds me of the shoe my old amazing boss Laura would walk to work in at the YW. (Watching her work her Board and mgmt team was an education. She was an Iron Maiden. I dug it.) I have officially become a Boss Lady, by that measure.

2. And Birkenstock's sandal gives some nice support to the PlantationFascist in my right foot.

(That's what I'm calling plantar fasciitis -- because it's giving oppression and pain.)

I think I had it before when heavily pregnant, but it's back. I am still somewhat overweight and have flat feet, so it's unsurprising.

But I'm a little bewildered by all the stuff that's supposedly helpful - anyone have some experience or advice they could share with me?

- Boots/socks that keep feet flexed at night?
- Insoles (which?!)
- Balls/rollers to massage the sole?

It's most painful in the mornings, and comes and goes over the day.

Today I did my new stretches, wore my new orthopedic inserts for an hour (an hour gets added each day), and hot/cold water therapy on the foot. Damn, I couldn't stand heat in it. I'm so hoping this fixes the year of plantars. I have runs to book!

Thought I'd make a little test to see if my #plantarfasciitis had healed yet - I was pain free for a few weeks. Took an easy 2-mile walk during my lunch break.

It had not healed up yet, and I am now far from pain free.
