We really need to get the message out there about men of a certain age and getting regular checks and to get checked out if you are worried about anything.

I’m in a higher risk category and need yearly checks which doesn’t bother me. Rather that than catching something later down the line.

Been a hectic week this week. Monday I had day surgery to remove a JJ Stent from my left kidney. Then Wednesday I had my 3 monthly check up for my Prostate Cancer (PSA has gone down again, so that's good). Thursday was Nordic Walking lesson and today was big shop day. Looking forward to parkrun and 5K Your Way tomorrow to complete a busy week!

Another day, another hospital visit. Yesterday was a pre-op assessment prior to having a JJ Stent removed, #today is my regular three monthly Prostate Cancer check up. Looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the week when it will be back to normal, that is Nordic Walking, #gardening, the #allotment and #parkrun

My Mum had a #hysterectomy when she was 19. Dad was diagnosed with #prostatecancer 21 years ago. They are both now in their early 80s. So very, very lucky. I miss them. It's been 6 years since the last hugs.

You know the worst part (right now anyway) of dealing with surgery for #prostatecancer? Having to work between now and then.
