Sharing three articles, two by a friend whose elderly mom was scammed out of life savings. Turns out USA isn't doing much to combat this growing issue - and even organized crime is getting into the "game" of scamming. So, I want to help share this info, and remind you to tell your aging family to unplug computer if something weird happens, if people intimidate them, then call family, etc.

Here's what the UK is doing to try to stop scams as the source. I have no idea what the financial impact is in the USA, but I've read some heart rending stories about seniors losing their homes (and as posted in this thread above, a friend's mom losing her life savings) to these criminals.
