A little earlier, on a dying social media platform, @ScottishGreens member and #RainbowGreens co-convenor Beth Douglas reported that she had received the message below from staff at the Scottish Parliament, regarding planned disruption of the stage 3 reading of the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill on Wednesday 21 December

Hi Beth. Just read your thread. It became clear about 2 weeks ago that TERFs were asking all MSPs for tickets for the public gallery for both tomorrow and Wednesday. We were approached by several different constituents. These were all names we were well aware of as holding very anti-GRA views. On advising Visitor Services we were told they had tickets already via Tory MSPs. The Tories are playing an active part in filling the public gallery with TERFs. Parliament visitor services quickly closed MSP allocations for these debates as they had filled up so quickly. I have serious concerns that those in the public gallery are going to cause significant disruption to proceedings on both days. Some chat about voting not ending until 10pm both days due to disruption & Tory/other anti-GRR MSPs deliberately delaying.
