Having fun with Margaret Atwood's Old Babes in the Woods. About half through the collection of short stories. Science fiction doesn't hold my attention, even works by such a great author. My Evil Mother was a delight. Tig & Nell stories are right up my alley.

Things I do not like in a novel:

No speech marks

Second person narration

Overly long sentences with commas where I feel there should be full stops.

My current read commits two of these sins, but I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt. It’s Intimacies by Katie Kitamura, the story of a Japanese-American interpreter who leaves New York to work at the International Court of Justice at The Hague
