Not all people know this but its true. If you wanted to change Mastodon you now can!

With #Twitter can you do that?

NOPE. The code for Twitter is what some people refer to as #ClosedSource. You as a customer of Twitter get a service but you don't get anything else.

On Mastodon we all collectively have access to the code so if ie. the developer of Mastodon one day just decides to retire we have all the power in the world to change the social platform we are all using to implement new updates with new #functionality!

I have an #autistic friend that is a fan of both the #Environment, #ElectricCars(we were walking casually once and he runs up to someone who is riding an #ElectricBicycle just to strike up a conversation) and Greta Thunberg. He's highly passionate about these topics.

When I share the news that Greta is on Mastodon, I think he's finally gonna listen to me about this #floss #technology. Free, Libre and Open Source Software finally in the hands of the people.

We waited long and now it has happened.

If anyone is interested in assembling a #NeurodivergentTeam to build on the future of Mastodon I"m game. The #neurotype / #brainwiring of my head may be of use if combined with the right combination of other #neurotypes which may lead to a #neurodiverse team that can achieve #SignificantProgress.
