You don't need to know someone living in a retirement village to love THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB (Viking), but it helps. Only just started it, but it's one of the most enjoyable books I've read in ages - character driven, hilariously written, and for young readers who've grown beyond the MURDER MOST UNLADYLIKE series, a great step into adult crime fiction.

Finished #RichardOsman’s excellent “#TheBulletThatMissed” today. Oh, such a treat! And at the end of the audiobook there was a little interview in which he mentioned that he’s working on a fourth Thursday Murder Club novel already! Yay! #bookstodon

#FridayReads I’m taking it a bit lighter this weekend with my books. I’m listening to The Bullet that Missed by #RichardOsman and reading London Rules by #MickHerron.

I’m also finishing up Aru Shah and the End of Time by #RoshaniChokshi with one son (we love it!) and starting Tumtum and Nutmeg by #EmilyBearn with the other son. Happy reading everyone!

Just finished reading “The Thursday Murder Club” by #RichardOsman. This snippet pretty much sums it up:

“I honestly don’t know what to do with the Tupperware I used. If you’ve used two Tupperware containers to help mix the ashes of a dear friend and the woman he loved without letting their child know, is it more disrespectful to keep them or to throw them away? This is honestly not the sort of thing I had to worry about before I moved to Coopers Chase. Elizabeth will know what to do.”

Have just finished all three of the #ThursdayMurderClub series by #RichardOsman. Can't make up my mind who's my favourite character...Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim, Ron...or Kenny, I mean, Kendrick! Waiting for the next one!

After a difficult year, I have failed spectacularly to reach my #GoodreadsChallenge target. I'm hoping 2023 will be a little easier. I'm #nowreading Project Hail Mary by #andyweir. It's the best book I've read in a long time and I haven't even finished yet! If you enjoy #scifi, I recommend it!
