Archaeologists have discovered hundreds of rock-cut tombs in the ancient city of Blaundos, Turkey. The ornate tombs date back to the Roman era and were carved into the sides of a canyon that surrounded the city, named after a commander in Alexander the Great’s army. The tombs are adorned with colourful frescoes of vines, flowers, animals, and mythological figures.
