Finished! For me, the brutal and vulgar style of #SandmanSlim breaks through a little of the boring wasteland of decent #UrbanFantasy.
Kadrey's book reminded me of Millar's excellent #TheGoodFairiesofNewYork.
I like the #Punk attitude. Enjoy!

This book reminds me a lot #InNomineSatanis (and #MagnaVeritas) by Croc, one/two of the most intriguing #ttrpg I ever played.

@Weltraumhirsch @Nerdperle Sorry to butt in, but #UrbanFantasy is my favorite.🤓Sounds like you want some older UrbanFantasy (before everyone jumped on the bandwagon) and to avoid ParanormalRomance (new couple each book). The Patricia Briggs #MercyThompson series is great with a little romance but very slow burn. Richard Kadrey's #SandmanSlim is darker but good. ML Brennan's #GenerationV has minimal romance and a slacker hero.
