Just after hearing about Nicola Sturgeon’s resignation yesterday, I was in my local shop, where I saw this issue of the Torygraph on the shelf 🙄

She’ll still have to take a bit more of this as FM, until her successor is elected, but I’m not surprised she needs a break!

(For those who are unaware, this is just shit-stirring by the right-wing rag: the Tavistock children’s gender clinic in London is closing so that children’s gender services in England are less centralised, not as a result of it having been ‘discredited’, and the Sandyford children’s gender clinic in Glasgow, the only one in Scotland, is completely unconnected to the Tavistock)

when I self referred to the #Sandyford GIC just after the millennium there was a 3-6 month waiting list for an initial appointment and an expectation to be on hormones within a year or so.

It took me a year and a half to get hormones and a total of 3 1/2 years to get a referral for surgery. This created a scandal within the clinic and they reviewed their services soon afterward.

Now 3 1/2 years was remarkable and led to a review of services.
