Really glad for the #WatchDutyApp. Today’s alert is for a fire called #MillardFire, in Altadena near Lake Ave and Alta Loma.
Here’s the view of the smoke taken from the area near Mausoleum / Mountain View Cemetery, and several flight paths from the several choppers flying around the site of the fire.

Good morning #SoCal! We got a little over a 1/2 inch of rain overnight in #Altadena but the #SanGabrielMountains got snow.
Here is your juxtaposition for the morning: palm trees in the foothills, snow on the mountains above.
It’s already melting; doesn’t last long the south facing slopes.

Weather station readout says 3.8" of rain fell in this event (that is, since late Saturday night), with .25" of rain since midnight.
Temperatures got cold enough that this morning, the clouds begin to clear, revealing a dusting of snow on the #SanGabrielMountains.

My mom lived for a time in a house that was right next to the 5, and it was fun to sit outside with the constant traffic. The sound of that was like this, a constant roar.
