1. Misako Shinozaki, Chairperson of the Seikatsu Club (Kanagawa), was interviewed by the ILO.
2. The Civil Policy Research Institute, a thinktank for the Seikatsu Club Group, published a special feature titled “The Value of Co-operatives in the COVID-19 Crisis: The Road to a Social Solidarity Economy.” The authors are Cheyenna Layne Weber and Ali Issa of The Cooperative Economic Alliance of New York City.

A few years ago I visited this Japanese #WorkersCollective that provides employment support for disabled persons. Unlike organizations that aim to "prepare" people to work in typical capitalist companies, they emphasize developing cooperative work that is fulfilling and humane.
