This clip is from the 4th and final week of Akash Thakkar's Step by Step Sound Design course. We had 3 clips to choose from and considering I love Witcher I had to go with this one! The most difficult part of this one was to give it a sense of movement in a way that made sense with the animation. And also having not done a lot of magic sounds it was definitely a challenge to do in 3 half hour sessions. But I'm happy with how it turned out!

This is a project of mine that acts as a of all of my and () with the goal of having every song I have ever listened to, right in my hands. Due to reasons, and the 100 gigabyte repository size limit, and also the 25 megabyte per file limit, over 90% of the collection is not publicly accessible. It is mostly a directory with lots of empty spots.

This clip from week 3 of Akash Thakkar's Step by Step Sound Design course. This time around we had to design just the explosion. The next day we tweaked based on feedback. Then surprise twist! We had to start completely from scratch and make an entirely different design. Mind you we only had 30-45 minutes to work each day so needless to say I panicked 😆 But I'm happy with how they both turned out!
For this first one I went the standard route.

No flow? Then sharpen your pencils!

If ine of this days where the juices seel to not flow to work on your game, take a step back. And „sharpen your pencils“. Doodle around with your pixeleditor. Read that manual of this that add-on you are using. Clean up your project folder or rework that one tile in your . Or think about and prepare a new sound fx.

Eventy project can benefit also from this tiny tasks. Like making a holiday inside your project.

This was from week 2 of the Step by Step Sound Design course. This one was extra difficult because it was the first time I had to make a gunshot from scratch. The other difficult thing was learning how to make a really big nice tail at the end to give the shot that bigger feel. It was a really fun challenge though!
