I was thinking yesterday at 4:30 that it was officially autumn because I wore a hoodie for the first time this season while walking the dog at Totem. Yay!

I also wore a knee brace for the first time in Totem, but I'd rather focus on summer's decline instead of my own. 😜

Great day for foraging mushrooms in #Girdwood - The hedgehogs were quite prolific but saw some boletes & chicken of the woods as well! I forgot how happy foraging makes my heart!

60F, cloudy, with very light rain. The wind has changed to the south and is bringing the moisture...as well as my partner offloading coho today after a successful few days fishing.

Lots of fog this morning - it's seldom I hear fog horns, but this morning they sounded quite a few times as the cruise ships made their way in.

The last gasp blooms before winter comes. All my violets go dormant in the dark of winter as do all my houseplants. Once in awhile a renegade will bloom in December, though, and that's always exciting! 😍

The light rain will stop shortly to be replace by cloudy skies, then partly cloudy this afternoon.

Looks like semi-lasting rain will return mid-week.
