I just setup #homeAssistant on my local network, in order to use it with some #smartbulbs I got us!

I'm running it on my #k3s Kubernetes cluster on my #raspberryPi. Setting it up was a fun task.

I don't intend to go full #smarthome (although I definitely sense the appeal).

I like the small software integrations such as global #radio stations. What other software-based integrations could you recommend?

I’ve recently started investing in smart bulbs. I use the Philips Hue range as they’re so easy to sync to your phone. I love that I can have a different coloured room every night. Everyone one else in our house hates them because they’re now not allowed to use the light switches as I’ve taped over them. They either have to download the app or ask Google to turn them on and off. 😬

I bought a couple of #Wiz #smartbulbs for my bedroom. Got a nice #AuroraBorealis going on tonight!

Update on my quest to find a #smartbulb that can gradually increase brightness at a set time in the morning to act as a light alarm: Wiz dimmable and tunable bulbs can indeed perform this simple function.

A little limited in other functionality, perhaps, but for minimal investment, I'm happy enough.
