Decided to have another go at the solo mode for #MythicMischief. I’m trying to be more open to abstract games and it’s growing on me. Not convinced that I need any of the new stuff in the forthcoming expansion though.

Last night, I played my first game of newly arrived #Moon from #Sinisterfish. Basically a tableau builder with card drafting. The solo game has an interesting way of simulating card loss due to drafting by your opponents. Components are really nice except the fiddly heart tokens. #boardgames #soloboardgaming

On the advice from #TableTopforOne on YouTube, I picked up #Gorinto. Roughly $30 and a solo mode by David Turczi. Count me in. I’m really impressed with this little abstract game! The solo mode really gets you in a mode of denying points to the automated opponent in the early game. In the last game, it transitions to ramping up your own point generation.

Another game of #SpiritIsland playing two-handed solo. As you can tell from the large clumps of invaders, it did not go well. I’m still trying to figure it out but it’s an amazing game.

Having a grand time with Wayfarers of the South Tigris: seems intimidating at first but rapidly reveals typical Shem Phillips euro brilliance. Smooth, seamless set collection and tableau building. Less complex than Paladins imo.
