@laurakm Just wait until you learn how #OpenBSD's #spamd #greylister contends with e.g. gmail.
You may gain perspective that MUCH (Most? All?) of the so-called surveillance capitalist driven "commercial" internet, is actually:
Dastardly
Vile.
Time Bandits levels of "IT'S EVIL! DON'T TOUCH IT!"
Thankfully, the internet was not founded on such principals, & exists despite the bad actors.
But at what cost?
Be careful, I refer you to #雲に糸「kumo no ito」(The Spider's Thread) for further reading.

A data point that is likely of interest only to myself, but the number of imaginary friends at https://www.bsdly.net/~peter/traplist.shtml is now 294294, which is a funny number I think #spamd #spamtrap #openbsd #greytrapping

I missed the exact moment it happened, but it seems that I now have more spamtraps (288,493 - https://www.bsdly.net/~peter/traplist.shtml and links therein) than there are people in my hometown (285,900 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergen) and the number of imaginary friends is on a sharp increase. #spam #spamtrap #openbsd #spamd

Fellow #openbsd #spamd users - I discovered hosts in a specific network had been producing enough connections to crowd out others with a 1200 max connections, apparently depressing number of of hosts trapped here and even filling up logs storage dangerously.
Is it worth a writeup or is it all old news to you?
Sane email handling is a particular pet subject of mine. Today I had reason to review an old article of mine, https://bsdly.blogspot.com/2012/05/in-name-of-sane-email-setting-up-spamd.html and with only a minor update it is actually quite useful still. #openbsd #spamd
