For days the Met Office and news stations have been putting out messages warning of severe snowfall in central & northern England and Wales, and asking people not to travel unless strictly necessary.

Today the news is full of people who have been stranded in their cars all night. For at least one of them this "strictly necessary" travel involved going to a gig. And then of course the emergency services have to put their own lives at risk to rescue them.

People are idiots, sometimes.

What the hecko happened overnight?! Yesterday's snow had melted, we were very happy! Humum's been out feeding the birds, its up to 12-13cm deep in some parts of the garden, with snow plastered up the house and on the windows... 😲 Blimey. We do love how quiet everything is though.
