Just saw a post about being married for half of their life and it got me thinking. I've been sober for ~26 years. I drank for ~12 years, until I was 26. So I've been sober as long as I had lived when I got sober. TIME IS SO STRANGE

I'm so grateful for people who are new to recovery who remind me how it wasn't always easy to be in recovery, to stay sober. They help me stay grounded in the truth (this is remission, not cure).
