Today was the end of riding day 52. I walked 52 days on #TeAraroa so as of tomorrow this will be my longest journey yet. And no sign of stopping.

In other news this descent was so steep I literally stopped for a few minutes because my brakes were so loud and I could smell them so much that I thought they might give out on me. 10/10 descent and the brakes were fine :)

Hostels along #TeAraroa are fun because everyone is just walking around in their underwear while their laundry dries.

#FanTail are probably my favorite bird at this point. When I walked #TeAraroa they were constant trail companions. Always chatty trying to get my attention and keep me moving stirring up bugs in the leaves for them to eat. I hope to see many many many more while I’m here!
