Hab heute auch schon in die erste Folge hineingeschaut, aber der Anfang lässt mich bislang wieder völlig kalt - nein, schlimmer: dieses ganze "wir sitzen am Abend des Wedding Rehearsal alle zusammen und erzählen uns Geistergeschichten in einem angeblich verfluchten Haus"-Trope lässt bei mir schon den "Nicht-Schon-Wieder"-Alarm anschlagen. 2/2

Was soll ich sagen … Jup. Braucht zwei Durchgänge. Ist so gebaut, dass man es mehrmals anschauen sollte bzw. eigentlich muss. Das Zyklische, gleichzeitig Statische, gleichzeitig Rekursive geht über Plot und Story raus in den Metatext. Meine Güte ist das gut gemacht. Wenn Euch #TheHauntingofBlyManor ebenfalls bei der Premiere etwas enttäuscht hat: Nochmals anschauen. Mit ein bisserl zeitlichem Abstand seid ihr dann auch thematisch voll auf Linie, wegen Erinnerung und Vergessen unzo. 2/2

Rewatch: #TheHauntingofBlyManor. Nachdem #MidnightMass für mich erst beim zweiten Durchgang voll reingehauen hat (aber dafür, nun ja, VOLL!, 10 von 10 Punkten), merkte ich: Das war schon bei Haunting of Hill House so für mich, und bei Oculus, und in Details sogar bei Doctor Sleep. Also, nun ja, vielleicht nochmals die Flanagan-Miniserie schauen, die mich beim ersten Durchlauf von allen seinen Projekten am meisten enttäuscht hat? 1/2

Mike Flanagan leaving Netflix for Amazon felt like a shock, at first. He's made so many great (and scary) shows for them. But the more I think about it, he might be a better fit with Amazon, after all. Amazon gives their series more of a chance to grow by not cancelling them after the first season.
