Let’s hope #DeSantis’s campaign is as uninformed and bigoted as this parent whose complaint confuses Oprah Winfrey with #AmandaGorman and the school authorities who removed #TheHillWeClimb from a #MiamiDade #Florida elementary school curriculum as a result.

A (one) person challenged Amanda Gorman's poem, the one she spoke at Biden's inauguration, because it "contains 'indirect hate messages' and causes confusion and indoctrination", so Miami-Dade County Public Schools District restricted access to it – not banned as such, but close.

Amanda tweeted: "So they ban my book from young readers, confuse me with [Oprah], fail to specify what parts of my poetry they object to, refuse to read any reviews, and offer no alternatives."

The specific paperwork demanding the total ban of the poem is attached. There were other books, too, and the parent demanding their banning shows a distinct lack of understanding of how to formulate a sentence.
