π§ On July 20th, I began pulling together a post about that day in 1969. It was a Sunday and I went to Atlanta to see the Braves play the Phillies. That night at home, I watched moon landing coverage *and #TheSupremes sing farewell as a group on The Ed Sullivan Show" with "Someday We'll Be Together."
Fact-checking, I discovered the Braves game was July 31st, the Supremes song wasn't released until October, and the Sullivan show was December 21st.

On this day in history 02/08/23. In 1965 Motown Records release The Supremes' single "Stop In the Name of Love". The Supremes recorded "Stop! In the Name of Love" in January 1965 and released as a single on February 8. The song was included on the Supremes' sixth album, More Hits by The Supremes, and was nominated for the 1966 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Rock & Roll Group Vocal Performance, losing to "Flowers on the Wall" by the St alter Brothers. #thesupremes #motown
