Is there a non-facebook-based social "free to a good home" sort of thing in Ireland? Or here on Mastodon / Fediverse?

I have some stuff that I no longer need, didn't work out, or bought misguidedly, that's taking up space and because it's perfectly good is *killing me* to throw out.

While I love having all the parts to connect to just about anything -- I think it's probably time to give this beauty up.

Turns out I have at least 5 of these, and a dozen 9 pin serial cables, many many 15 pin VGA cables, etc. Going to keep a very small number of old cables "just in case" and get rid of the rest.

Packing all weekend for a cross-country move:

"Whew, almost done with this room. Just need to go through that cabinet, my desk drawers, and what's on those shelves."

<A few hours later.>

"Alright. I'm done with this room. Wait... crap... I always forget about the drawers under the built-in."

<Many hours later>

"I'm done, right? This room is done? Everything is packed?"

<Opens closet. Dies.>

Only a mild exaggeration. Packing always takes longer than I expect.

It's not everyday that I go through receipts, mail, and pay bills at 2:00 in the morning, but when I do, my desk looks a good bit tidier when I'm done. This is only step 1 of 33 (made up number) steps to clean up and organize my office, but I have to start somewhere.
