Do you remember all the fuss back in January about FIGS translators being left out of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable's credits? Well... I was one of them :D The games have been patched yesterday, so I can finally say it. Shout-out to my wonderful colleagues @autunnoinagosto , @Ricciotto , @Wildbone and @remainsoylent (just to name the ones on Mastodon), as well as all those who raised their voice to see translators credited!

Mighty Quest Rogue Palace by #Ubisoft is now available and I am pleased to say I was part of the Italian localization team!
This was an awesome project and a very nice surprise. The game is a great roguelike with a lot of jokes and now you can laugh in many languages 🙃
It's available on mobile via #Netflix Games, give it a try!
Thank you, Ubisoft, Netflix, Loki, and everyone involved 💜

Dia de créditoooooos🥳
Hoje saiu Doctor Who: An Unlikely Heist pra Apple Arcade, com mais um trampo de tradutores incríveis que tenho o prazer de trabalhar. #TranslatorsInTheCredits @CreditsLoc (1/2) @ninaringo @priganiko @thecianci @gabweeb
Wow. What an incredible take. “We need to think of the knock-on effects of crediting translators, like the fact that we might need to pay them more money.” This reads like a satire, and I’m glad to see that literally nobody is agreeing with this post.

Hoje saiu mais um joguinho pra conta! Dessa vez o @SeasonTheGame, um jogo lindíssimo que foi uma honra ter trabalhado, nem que apenas prestando suporte à equipe de tradução maravilhosa que tive e continuo tendo o prazer de trabalhar💜 #TranslatorsInTheCredits @CreditsLoc
Adding all efforts possible to the #TranslatorsInTheCredits movement! My article was released over at #PressOverNews (in Spanish) https://pressover.news/noticias/translatorsinthecredits-la-invisibilizacion-de-las-grandes-empresas/

Now that I have received the official authorization, I am pleased to say I had the honor to be part of the great French team who translated Persona 3 Portable. :)
Thanks to all those who raised their voice to see translators credited. #TranslatorsInTheCredits

A brief #introduction
Hello! My name is Vale and I'm honoured to have been a Pikachu minion since 2017, as Italian localisation editor. After all, Pokémon has been my religion since 1999.
Before that, I've worked for a year as in-house translator for another localisation company in London, but I never got a chance to be credited :( #TranslatorsInTheCredits
As there isn't much of my job that isn't covered by NDA (sadly), I'm here mostly to read your stories :)
#introduction #translatorsinthecredits
@carop The same thing happened to me (actually, maybe we are talking about the same game, who knows 😅): it was my first official project, and I had a lot of fun working on it... but the lack of credits still hurts after all these years :( We can only wish for more #TranslatorsInTheCredits...
To answer @andres's question, I'd love to translate a game from the Fire Emblem or NieR series!
@maurizio that’s really inspiring and promising, thank you for sharing this!👏
Yesterday I asked a new studio I’m about to start a project with what was their policy about this topic, and they told me they always credit all people involved in their projects… maybe they’ve always done so and this time I was just lucky, maybe something is actually changing thanks to the #TranslatorsInTheCredits movement…
One thing is sure: as you said, it’s always worth a try to ask to be credited for our job!
@bealoc Thanks Bea! As I said somewhere else, what really matters to me here isn't being credited (which should be the norm, and we'll see if it happens), but being able to ask for the credits from a position of relative strength.
I want every LOC specialist to feel empowered enough to say to their client "hey, do your part to get everybody credited or the translator community will hit you with a #translatorsinthecredits shitstorm".
Yesterday was #PortfolioDay and I forgot to share this here, in the wholesome community!
I'm Caro Panero, #gameloc #subtitle & #webcomics specialist🎮🕹 from Argentina 🇦🇷 I'm also a horror, scifi, fantasy & comic book writer. ✒📚Nice to meet you!😊 #xl8
#indiedev #gamedev Looking to localize your game to LATAM Spanish!
These are some gameloc projects I worked on (many more under NDA) and books I wrote

@maurizio Congratulations, Maurizio! I'm so thrilled to see the #TranslatorsInTheCredits movement going so strong! 💜 :game:
Got a satisfying #translatorsinthecredits moment: I'm working on a game with one of the huge agencies, for a small-ish but known studio that a while ago was called out on Twitter for never crediting the loc team, to which the studio replied by apologizing and saying that translators would be credited in all future projects.
I wrote to the PM to discuss other stuff and linked the studio's tweet, writing "hey btw they said they want to credit translators, could you make it happen?"
[continue]
And as I went through the list, I realized it's time to make more effort for #TranslatorsInTheCredits (and all-in-the-credits also). At least by more persistent asking - even when my company is just a subcontractor in a long chain of other contractors, names still should be mentioned, even under a different 'flag.'

It finally happened! After over a year of hard work, +800k words translated, tons of love and dedication, you can now play @wildemyth in Spanish (Latam)!

In view of recent efforts by devs and publishers toward adding their #TranslatorsInTheCredits, we have prepared a set of recommendations for crediting your translators on different scenarios.
@xtooph Thanks for that! We (Gameloc Gathering and all of us in the industry) appreciate it! We should continue to keep making noise with the #TranslatorsInTheCredits movement :)
Hello!!
My name is Bárbara Rivera, an EN→ES-LA from Chile.
I have some community translated games under my belt, but everything I've worked on as a professional is under NDA, so I'm a strong supporter of #TranslatorsInTheCredits.

Hello, there! Thank you @aran for creating this space for LOC peeps!
I'm Beatrice, a translator working from English and German into Italian. I started my career in 2017 and I mostly do video games alongside board games and literature! I worked on many titles, but I can only share a few (and that is why #TranslatorsInTheCredits is important).
I'm very happy to be here and I can't wait to connect with you all :)
