Hoy es viernes. Y tengo dos cosas para este día:
Un #unFollowFriday para los del chistecito fácil. Siempre desconsiderado e inoportuno y casi siempre chiste malo y/o soez.
Otro #unFollowFriday para los que repetidamente pasan de poner descripción a sus imágenes. Es fácil, es bueno.

La segunda cosa es el recuerdo entrañable de algunas personas que hace poco me iluminaban en Mastodon con su vida, su sensatez y sus cosas y ahora su silencio me deja dentro un gran vacio. ¡Volved! 🥲

I think I’m doing it wrong, every Friday I realize my timeline is too busy and I start unfollowing accounts. I’m going full Marie Kondo on Mastodon right now 😂

Can we make #UnfollowFriday a thing too?

It's an #unfollowfriday. In an effort to fight the 80/20 rule so common in social media that leads to people just reposting the same junk content over and over, I periodically unfollow accounts that don't follow me. It's a good idea for everyone.

We shouldn’t replicate Twitter here. Break the Pareto 80/20 rule with #unfollowfriday for accounts that don’t follow back.

If I've been following an account for more than 2 weeks and that account has not followed me back,

1. roughly equal follows/followers.
I unfollow, follow and favourite/boost a post of theirs. Check back in 2 weeks.

2. more than 500 followers but follow less than half of that, unfollow. #NoHeroWorship

I humbly suggest, if your Twitter account is still active, go over there and unfollow all business and verified accounts that haven't migrated to Mastodon. The sooner they realize there is a shrinking audience the sooner they stop propping up a fascist social site. #followfriday #UnfollowFriday
