"Laoshan Green Oolong Tea" from Verdant Tea. Like most Laoshan Green teas, this tea is made with Longjing varietals. Verdant says this green tea is, "rolled and turned for Oolong finishing," by the producer. Mostly this is just a Laoshan Green tea, but this extra processing step takes it one step towards the richer flavor of yellow tea.

There's a sort of convergent evolution as ripe and raw puerh age. Which is to say, a 20 year old ripe puerh is pretty similar to a well aged raw puerh. Ripe puerh starts funky and mellows with age. Raw puerh starts harsh and gets mellow and funky with age. This is a 2002 Golden Leaf Shu Pu'er from Verdant tea. It is mellowed sufficiently that it is essentially indistinguishable from a well aged raw puerh. It is a very enjoyable and long lasting cup.
