I just read the text of the proposed amendment for the Australian Constitution:

I can totally understand Indigenous Australians who claim that it doesn't go nearly far enough.
All the important bits are left up to parliament.

That said I still encourage everyone to #voteyestovoice because conservatives will claim that a no will mean everything is hunky dory, and no further action is required on Aboriginal and Torres Islander autonomy.

I will #voteyestovoice because a "no" means we make our Indigenous communities stay exactly as they are even longer. And that isn't acceptable.
#Dutton #jacintanampijinpaprice and co are playing those communities. It is disgusting to see the politicising of an issue around people already damaged by white settler policy.
