Sometimes it's not the drop that gets you. Sometimes it's the big hole encountered after an unexpected bump.

Ski hangover today. The body is achy and sore but in kind of a good way. Fun day on the steeps playing in the powder. Unusually light, dry snow for #pnw #skiing. Good enough for a few face shots. They make me giggle. #whitepass

I talked with a gentleman in his 70s just returning to skiing after a hip replacement. His surgery was on Dec. 13!!! I often hear inspirational stories riding the lift but this stands out. #JustKeepMoving

It was another fantastic day #skiing #whitepass. Great snow and coverage allowed us to ski all the best terrain of steeps and trees. An old college buddy joined my son and I so the stars aligned perfectly. #JustKeepMoving

East winds brought Arctic temperatures. The #WhitePass crew shut the resort for today. We're inside dreaming of warming temps with the incoming storm. #skiing #pnw

I ventured out to move the car for plowing the lot. Can confirm. It is cold. The car ran rough and did not want to unstick itself. A lazy pancake breakfast was a nice reward.

Tired but #grateful to be warm and comfortable inside looking out at the ski hill.

Wild day of storm #skiing today. One of those days where you discover the terrain with your feet often not in a good way. Rewarded with free refills so it's hard to complain.

Of note, today was the first time I ever had to dig myself into a parking spot before skiing. Good times!

I started skiing with my sons at 45. My oldest no longer skis but I get to ski with my youngest. We'll kick off the season next week. #pnw #whitepass
