On February 28 evening, two mercenaries affiliated with the Taliban governor raped a 40-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged 12 and 14, in #Sozmeh Qala town in Sarpul province, Afghanistan.
At 11:00 p.m., Taliban militants entered the woman's house in "Khanqah" village, tied her and her daughter hands and feet, tortured and raped them. After this crime, the 12-year-old girl was treated in a hospital.
Since the Taliban took power in 2021, statistics on rape and sexual assault of Afghan women by extremist Islamists, particularly Taliban mercenaries, have increased. These mercenaries operate under the protection of the Taliban government without fear of being interrogated.
At night, they storm women's homes and rape them. These organized crimes and disasters, along with the ban on education for #Women_in_Afghanistan and the application of medieval and highly patriarchal religious "laws" on women and other genders in Afghanistan, have led to their terrible oppression.🔥
