Myself and my husband went to see Feist tonight in #Dublin. She made a sneaky entrance through the crowd stopping to catch people's eye along the way, and we saw a couple look straight at her and not recognise her, which made her giggle before she moved on.

OK...OK...it was us! We didn't recognise #Feist smiling straight at us. I was about to stand up to let her take a seat in our row...at her own gig! 😬

Today I suddenly thought of the song Cry Baby by Janis Joplin, from the posthumous 1971 album Pearl. Her vocal delivery is amazing, turning in a heartbeat from quiet, gentle, earnest to torn with pain. The dynamics in the song, and the way she works with the band, are spine-tingling.

Imagine what it would have been like to first hear this song three months after she'd died.
