The cheek embroidery on Artemis is complete. I've also added some lid colour around each of their eyes. I was so tired of a single thread satin stitch that a split stitch sounded fun. So that's what I used around the eyes.

The green twin is all together, except the head. She's been given a name too, Artemis! I like how the second colour of green embroidery turned out. It will be strange to cover up a lot of it with clothing.

I added some embroidery to the bones on the light green and coral doll arms and legs. The reason I don't edge these bones in a similar way as the skull faces, is because when stuffed, the edging stitches (stem stitch) will begin to pull away from the edge of the white bone. I don't like how it looks. So, I do something that's in the same colour, but in a different place, embroidery-wise.

I've finished this little doll yesterday. She's been given a name too! Gwen! There are a few small, fiddly things I want to do yet. Gwen won't be going into my shop. I don't think my heart could handle her languishing, unsold in my shop right now.

I am obsessed with making sure that all angles of my dolls look good. That they are "finished". It is killing me that there's a knot showing in the second picture looking up the doll dress. 30 years from now, I swear I will remember this flippin' knot.
