was feeling under the weather today and the mental drain it had cannot be understated. The , the , hearing his voice hoarse from coughing…was enough to send me over the edge to tears a few times today (mainly bc I couldn’t do much to improve things). Today I realized why so many step back from work these first few years of . Doing them both well is nearly impossible, unless you’ve got help.

The system is BROKEN for working parents. There is zero support for managing childcare during school breaks, not to mention the time disparity between a school day and an 8 hour workday.
