Has anyone had experience with #yoga helping to lower cholesterol? I'm 54 and overweight, been exercising off and on for many years including lots of #yogawithadriene , lately doing one or two 50 minute walks per day plus 2 days/wk of beginner weight training with the idea of trying to lose weight and build more muscle to combat menopause symptoms, and now lower cholesterol too. But I have an injury that made me stop temporarily. Any suggestions for yoga while I heal?
As well as my #YogaWithAdriene I'm going to attempt some high intensity stuff today, including press ups. I've never been able to do them. Maybe if I just keep trying? 🤷♀️
Feeling old after last night's #KravMaga. Things hurt. Hopefully my #YogaWithAdriene will stretch my stiff muscles.
And now for day 30 of my 30 day #YogaWithAdriene program. My planking ability has really come on! I'll be keeping going. 20 minutes a day proving a lot more beneficial than one or two hour long classes a week.

One thing I’ve learned for certain is that I do look forward to regular mat time. Going to take that forward and see where it leads.
I finished 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene this morning. I had a very easy definition for completing a day: being on my mat for the whole workout every morning. Even if I did nothing but savasana, it was obviously what I needed. As it was, I did more of the routines than I expected, so I am quite chuffed.
Wow, has it been 30 days already? Amazing how January flies by when I'm doing #30DaysOfYoga. Thank you so much for this fun journey!

Day 29 - Pleasure
There was nothing pleasurable about this practice… lol… but I added on a 2000m row for the penultimate day of this 30 Day Journey.
I can’t believe how this month has flown by. Or rained by- it’s raining again.
#YWACenter Do I know myself well or what? Giving myself the grace of not doing one of the yoga videos turned into four. But I have a much better mindset about it this year. In past years I've "allowed" myself to get a tshirt if I complete the full 30 days in real time. This year I bought the shirt anyway and I will pick up from the last video I did today and go from there. Continuing to offer myself the same grace I would offer one of you in the same position. #YogaWithAdriene

Day 28 - Freedom
I really really loved today’s practice. A great flow with a little bit of balance and a lot of do what feels good built in.
I also loved Adriene’s quote: “I celebrate you for arriving at the mat with the courage to be who you are and to come with whatever you are carrying.”
Sometimes simpling carving out the time, coming to the mat, and taking that first step can feel like a battle. But it’s always worth it.
Day 27 - Yin
I love yin practices but never seem to choose them on my own. (And I definitely needed it today after the utter chaos that was yesterday- including not having water from 12-4 and again from 5-12- amongst several other annoyances that snowballed into an awful-ish day.)
After today’s practice I did a 21 minute Nike run led by the first transgender athlete to make the national team. Really inspiring stuff. And the neighborhood geese are back!
Day 26 - Connect
I can’t believe this 30 Day Journey is almost over.
One of the ways I connect to myself is through daily rituals. Making a (I know it isn’t pretty) latte every weekday morning is one of them. And this mug has been with me since my freshman year in college… yup… it’s survived 20+ years of moves and use.
#YWACenter Deep gratitude to the person who recommended a bedtime yoga practice for days when I can't fit in the regular daily video. Yesterday was lunacy and I didn't get to bed until about 2 hours later than usual, but I did a "yoga in bed" which not only relaxed me but gave me the endorphin rush of being able to check it off in my #BulletJournal . I slept peacefully knowing I did what I could for the day. #YogaWithAdriene #yoga #FindWhatFeelsGood
