You can permanently disable Youtube live chat by opening Ublock Origin extension settings, go to My Filters, and put in

@sen Yeah I already have a bunch of similar lines but mine are bit more fine tuned and I match on the section header text (mostly because I hold out hope one day a useful feature might be added 🤣). So my lines look more like:

youtube.*##ytd-rich-section-renderer:has(span:has-text(/Shorts/))

Which now nukes the Shorts section.

# My Solution

Install the `uBlock Origin` extension (you should already have that, the web is unusable without it). Then in `Options -> My Filters` add the following line:

```
youtube.*##ytd-rich-section-renderer:has(span:has-text(/Shorts/i))
```

Gone for good.

O que resolveu meu problema foi a extensão uBlock Origin. Depois de instalada, abri a extensão, selecionei "abrir painel" e, na aba "meus filtros", adicionei linhas de código como estes dois exemplos:

@tagomago @rysiek In Firefox, you can disable cookies for specific sites. See the screenshot. This will get rid of the cookie consent dialogue. To get rid of the "Login to Youtube", add this as a custom uBlock filter

It's not a bug-free solution though. It'll get rid of all the popups, but links where the start time is specified will be played from the beginning.
