Main #FossilFriday post to come, but first I wanted to share this early work by one of the titans of #paleoart. Rudolph #Zallinger is famous for his epic #murals of #prehistoric life at #Yale and his 'March of Progress,' which remains the iconic image of #evolution. But Zallinger got his start not in Ivy League halls but on the wharves of #Seattle. He painted this scene of a #salmon derby in 1941, not long before heading east to paint his celebrated murals.
