My youngest teen has this tradition of inviting his 3 best friends around, just before Christmas, so they can swap presents (always Pop! figures) and eat æbleskiver. I always try not to make a big fuss and stay out of the way. He has just given me a stern look, because I was about to decorate the table with some pine. This is a traditional #danish #holiday #dessert (which is usually served as a #snack actually)

It’s called an “Apple slice” - it tastes a lot like a pancake. Pull it apart and dip it in marmalade or powdered sugar before popping it in your mouth.

And yes, I HAVE noticed this apple slice is a ball, not a slice. Don’t worry, there’s no apple in it either 🤣
