Heinrich Khunrath equated the #cauda_pavonis (#ουρά_παγώνις) with the goddess Ἶρις, whose name gives us the iris of the eye—that which surrounds the central pupil and appears to fan out from it like peacock feathers. The #cauda_pavonis is an ɪʀɪᴅᴇꜱᴄᴇɴᴄᴇ.
