ＢＧＦ軍（＋ＭＭ軍？）とカレン民族軍がシュエコッコ周辺で交戦中のため、2023年４月９日現在、ビルマ（ミャンマー）とタイ国境を結ぶ「第一友好橋」が閉じられています。
しかし、その直前、国境の橋を渡ると、両国の経済的な格差をイヤというほど感じさせられました（2023年３月）
まあ、今をさかのぼること28年前（1995年）、その当時、この橋が造られる様子を眺めていました。
