I made a coaster of sashiko.
The patterns are "crossed flower stitch（十字花刺し）" and "tortoise shell flower stitch（亀甲花刺し）".
十字花刺し : Crossed flower stitch is a flower-like pattern composed of crosses that indicate fertility, abundance, life, etc.
亀甲花刺し : Tortoise shell is an arrangement of hexagons that resemble the shell of a turtle. Since the turtle is a symbol of longevity, the turtle shell is also an auspicious pattern that signifies longevity.
