This is life-changing for cross-national same-sex couples where the foreign partner is from another country in Asia, because it now allows them to marry their Taiwanese partner and reside with them in Taiwan.

(like I could already do, because same-sex marriage was already legal in Australia)

The existing restriction has been particularly bad for cross-national couples in recent years when countries' borders were closed to non-residents.

瑞士于 7 月 1 日起同婚法正式生效
