#OTD in 1008, #Song #宋 Emperor Zhenzong 真宗 (r. 997–1022) performs the Feng Shan #封禪 sacrifice to Heaven & Earth on Mount Tai #泰山, one of five sacred mountains of #ImperialChina. Only six emperors personally performed these rites in #ChineseHistory, Zhenzong being the last.
