to begin, I'll go with one of my faves, #新宝島 (Shin Takarajima) by #sakanaction, a modern-day #jpop classic 🎶
why do I like it? it was based off the first successful modern manga (same name, 1947) and became the soundtrack of an animanga (albeit one I don't like, lol) adaptation
plus, the MV is iconic, spoofing Japanese 1980s TV. see it for yourself:
