It's kind of a visual metaphor 밥 말아 먹다 means "to mix with rice and eat", like you get the left-over sauce or soup out the bottom of your bowl, you would mix in rice to soak it all up and eat every last bit.

Most of the crowd are seated in the road. Crowds line both sides of the road and there are makeshift stalls for civic groups, radical press, art galleries, free soup, hawkers selling merch or a hot soup of silkworm pupae (delicious actually).

#korea today is a big one, the main December #CandleLightMovement protest for president #YoonSukYeol to step down.

Due to inability to overturn preliminary injunction against marching to presidents office, plans have changed.

Assemble in front of North Gate of Korean War Memorial at 3pm, march to City Hall / Sungnyemun Gate (usual location) for #itaewon memorial service at 4:30pm and main event at 5pm.
