On Friday, democratic party unilaterally passed motion to extend the system.

The union plans to press the government on its bullshit offers of dialogue after return to work. Either the strike will have caused enough damage that government will have to take them seriously or government will expose themselves as liars (to anyone who doesn't already know that).
