The stormy side of this island is lined with bones, a graveyard of sorts. There's a lot of fighting between larger Grey Seals & cute small Harbour Seals.

I always like at the mainland from islands (or boats), because you never see this stuff. You can't drive to see this.

We came from other direction, a few kilometers in a canoe It turned into 97 acre island, and an all-day hike.

There's #100WildIslands down the #EasternShore of #Halifax.

Some are bigger than this.

I don't have big boats;f but that would also restrict access. So we 'island hop', exploring each one we see along the coastline. This is Harrigan Cove, HRM, Nova Scotia #WAYCTV

We grow 'The Canada Goose' in Nova Scotia. We have fields of them at Harvest time.

@jblue About March, usually, it looks like a Grow-Op here LOL But I have no room for *those* plants. I retired without hobbies. Zero interest in sports. I started looking for a discontinued Apple and hoping to get lucky with wild trees. So I planted a few hundred of them. I give dozens away as cup size, but charge enough to pay for my soil and pots if people wait until the third transplant to ask. I also plant pairs on Wild Islands (we have #100WildIslands off #NovaScotia ) Food for visitors

Do you ever go Beachcombing?

The #EasternShore of #Halifax has #100WildIslands. We visit some of the inner ones (small boat) to explore them. Sometimes I plant & leave two fruit trees behind. Deer Apples or snacks for human visitors.

I brought a bigger piece of driftwood back for a display on my lawn. Besides picking up garbage, we return with many treasures from each day exploring.

First, I'd have to tell you the route, by plane, boat, car, bike. (SEE MAP) and I'd recommend you call Murphy's Campground, since they have boats to take you to visit, and affordable camping along the way. It's very scenic. You're going to go by the #Aquaculture restaurant, AquaPrime Mussel Ranch, closed ATM.

Sometimes you have to decide where the best walking route is. These trails sometimes get blocked after storms.

Extremely rugged walking, isn't it? Good footwear. Places feel like you are bushwhacking. Long pants, long sleeves, pants tucked in, take lots of drinking water & snacks.

This is a sprawling collection of 400 large and small provincially-owned islands, stretching 75 km from Clam Harbour in Halifax Regional Municipality to Marie Joseph in Guysborough County.

An existing campsite lease will be honoured under the Wilderness Areas Protection Act.
