I spent much of today putting up the #100Hearts exhibition in Liverpool Cathedral. I handled every Heart and had the opportunity to examine and rejoice in all the wonderful stitchery on show...

My #EmbroiderersGuild #100Hearts piece was dispatched yesterday, and arrived safely today. And furthermore, I've just received an email to tell me that my Heart has been allocated to the exhibition in Liverpool Cathedral from 10 September - 7 October 2018! #embroidery #fiberarts #excited

Finished and sent off to the #Embroiderers Guild to form part of the #100Hearts Exhibition commemorating the end of the First World War.

Dedicated to the memory of the men of the merchant fleet, and in particular the many immigrants and naturalised citizens who, sometimes in the face of xenophobic hostility, continued to serve their adopted country faithfully and well, and brought up their children to think of it as home.

In especial memory of my great grandfather Henry Frederick Bloom.
