In my job we sometimes talk about petabytes. A petabyte of storage costs a couple hundred K (maybe 50 if you compromise on performance and availability) and could store, say, backups of all the data for a big company. Amazon or Google buy a few petabytes a day for their cloud services, most non-tech companies might buy one every few years.
A quettabyte is big enough to store a petabyte of data for every byte in a petabyte.
